AI Carbon Footprint Management with Multi-Agent Participation: A Tripartite Evolutionary Game Analysis Based on a Case in China

AI is playing an important role in promoting sustainable development, but the carbon footprint caused by scaling quickly and may partly offset effort to reduce emissions. However, recommendations for limiting are lacking. In order address this gap literature, paper first constructs a tripartite evolutionary game model taking governments, industry alliances, consumers into consideration, then exploring impacts of key factors on these three players’ strategy selection based case smart air conditioner consumption China. The results show that behavior governments has influence alliances consumers. ideal consequence adopt unregulated strategy, green development purchase strategy. Regulation indispensable during early stage becomes dispensable when system reaches optimal state. Although tendency toward consumption, image benefit, regulatory cost, price, subsidies given can largely most sensitive prices not subsidies, reputation improvement, loss prices. Consumers tendencies, self-satisfaction, utility subsidies.
